It's hard to find a gift for someone like me, something that surprise
I'm a real puzzle-lover.
I've put together all kinds of puzzles, from 100 pieces to 6,000.
I have wood, plastic, and 3D puzzles in my collection.
My bookshelves aren't filled with books, but rather with puzzle boxes of various colors.
All those who are close to me know the gift I desire most. A puzzle, of course.
And every time, my friends find it harder and harder to surprise me. They look for the most bizarre and unusual sets. Then I put it together with ease and wait for the next holiday's gifts.
Now there are relatively new puzzles on the market from Unidragon. Wooden jigsaw puzzles... Come on, I thought, I've seen it all. But I began to hear more and more about these puzzles. Some sang their praises, and others said they were expensive, and there's no point in overpaying.
I hesitated. The products aren't cheap, but they're their own kind of beauty.
That's it. I already had a few boxes of figure puzzles. And it seemed to me that, yes, of course, it's a cool idea. But once you put together the outline, then the rest is easy, uninteresting.
So the days passed. The holidays were approaching. And in the morning I began to open gifts from family and friends. One of the gifts rattled mysteriously when I shook it. I wondered what it could be. I removed the wrapping paper and saw the wooden box. Huge blue eyes stared back at me. The Charming Owl by Unidragon.

Everything is thought out to the smallest detail: the image, the ornamentation, even the barcode has an owl.
There's no reason to wait, I thought. Let's give it a try. To be honest, I wasn't expecting anything special. Small figures of animals, birds, leaves, trees — they are pleasant to the touch, beautifully painted, and smell of burnt wood.
I was pleasantly surprised as I looked at the pieces: on one side they’re painted, and on the other, the burns form a pattern. There's a hedgehog with needles, an owl with feathers and a beak.
When the picture finally came together, it took my breath away
I started to put the puzzle together. Once again, I thought, I'll put together the outline and the rest will follow, nothing too complicated. But that wasn't the case. Sure, some of the pieces formed an outline, but not all of them. I carefully tried each piece and realized that each was different. There are no identical pieces. I kept at it for a long time (by my standards). I was happy to take in all the details, finding the right pieces and putting them together, but it wasn't an easy process.
The computer screen does not convey all the colors and intricate patterns of the feathers. The Charming Owl really is charming.

With great anticipation, I hungrily waited for the package to arrive. After a delay or two from UPS, of no fault of the shipper, the day finally arrived. My curiosity overtook me, I ripped open the packaging to reveal the most quaint wooden box with a picture of my chosen puzzle on the top. Much to my surprise, the lid doubled as a reference complete with a stand to prop it up. I struggled inserting the stand into the lid and I was immediately filled with dread as I assumed that the pieces might have the same difficulty. Rest assured my assumption was COMPLETELY FALSE. The pieces effortlessly glided into place with a strange satisfaction. The colors are so vibrant; the shapes are cute, clever, and simply perfect. Worth the wait. Worth the price. Would and will buy again. Highly recommended. Wow! What an amazing puzzle! Took about 30 minutes to complete from beginning to end.
Desert dweller
I bought the owl for my dad. He had a fall and a traumatic brain injury and needs to do exercises for physical therapy but they are boring and pointless to him. My dad is an artist and I thought he might enjoy how beautiful and clever this is, especially all the special shapes. Plus, owls are my step-mom’s favorite animal so putting it together for or with her might be motivation. It is a hit! Dad was even using his weaker left hand to place the pieces.So, as I said, worth every penny.

Everyone from 6 years to 86 years old adore this puzzle!! Men Women children teens seniors...People are mesmerized by it. High quality!! Both sides of the puzzle are adoreable! One size with the picture and the other has woodburning that brings the shapes to life. We got the owl and though it expensive it will last a lifetime. People can’t get over the tiny shapes and how they fit. Really fun puzzle!! Creative! Gorgeous! Gift worthy!!
